Young Chan Lee is currently the director general of the Digital Transformation of Education Bureau at the Ministry of Education in Republic of Korea. Mr. Lee graduated from Seoul National University in 1997 and he received a master degree in Public Policy from the Seoul National University’s Graduate school of Public Administration in 1999. He began his public sevice career as an deputy director in the Ministry of Education in 2000. He served as the director of Teacher training team, Parent Support team, Planning Division, Budget Division and General Services Division at the Ministry of Education for more than 20 years. Also, he served as an educational officer at the Permanent Delegation of Korea to UNESCO (2015-2018) and as the Director General of the administration office at the Jeju National University in 2022.
